This men's wedding band is built from cobalt chrome in an 8mm width with a domed profile. The domed shape curves gently across the top, so the band sits close to the finger and wears smoothly against adjacent rings.
Down the center runs a 3mm inlay of mokume, a layered metal worked to reveal a wood-grain pattern. Here the mokume is made from 14K yellow gold and shakudo, a copper alloy traditionally used in Japanese metalwork. The two metals read differently in the grain: warm yellow against a darker tone, with a pattern that is unique to each piece.
The band is given a satin polish, a soft, low-sheen finish that reduces glare and lets the inlay pattern stay the focus. The result is a ring with visible craft and quiet presence, suited to daily wear.
