This pearl ring from Mastoloni is built on a bypass design, where the two ends of the band pass one another rather than meeting. One side carries a 7.5–8mm pearl; the other sweeps alongside it, creating an open, asymmetric line across the finger.
The band is 18K yellow gold, a warm metal that suits the soft surface of a pearl. Round natural diamonds totaling 0.06 carats are pave set along the shoulder, held close to the metal with small beads so the surface reads as a continuous line of light rather than individual stones.
The bypass form sits low and follows the curve of the finger, which makes it comfortable for regular wear. The pearl is the focal point, with the diamonds kept small and in support. It can be worn on its own or alongside a plain band.
Pearls are softer than most gemstones. Remove the ring before applying lotions or perfumes, and wipe it with a soft cloth after wearing.
