This cross pendant is set with 46 princess-cut natural diamonds totaling 2.77 carats. The stones are channel set, held between smooth walls of metal rather than by individual prongs, so the diamonds sit flush and form a continuous line down the vertical arm and across the horizontal arm.
Channel setting gives the piece a clean, architectural outline. There are no prong tips to catch on clothing, and the square shape of the princess cut allows the stones to sit side by side with very little space between them. The result is an even band of light along each arm of the cross.
The pendant is supplied on an 18-inch cable chain measuring 1.1mm wide. The chain is diamond cut, meaning each link is faceted to reflect light along its length. At 18 inches, the pendant rests at or just below the collarbone on most wearers.
The piece suits daily wear as well as occasional wear. Store it separately from harder stones, and clean it with warm water, mild soap and a soft brush, paying attention to the underside of the channels where dust can gather.
